My wife and I are starting a home front counterinsurgency effort. I project a 4-6 week campaign to create order and civility. Kids #1 and #2 have been creating a hell of teasing and bickering at home, so we are putting down new no tolerance for fighting policies, with full sustained enforcement. My wife is just getting wiped out by the current disorder.
I'm optimistic about this project, my wife less so.
I like the imagery.
We just escalated our counterinsurgency tactics, too. Time-outs must now happen in the bathroom, with no books allowed. No, we don't care anymore about calming down. This is just flat-out punishment. (Spouse was more insistent on it than me. So of course, it seems to be working.)
