Some people out there have a faster running pace than me:
In the good old days (before NYC) I could run right around 6:00-6:10 pace at 150 beats per minute, but today was a different story:
Mile 1: 6:36 at 153HR
Mile 2: 6:50 at 152HR
Mile 3: 6:52 at 150HR
Mile 4: 6:42 at 150HR
...I guess it's good to have a baseline, but I'm a bit disappointed to see the bar so low at the moment.
At 150 bpm I'm maybe going 8:15 min/mile. By the time I'm at 9:15 min/mile I'm at a 135 bpm heart rate. I have a while to go. I go to 165 bpm at 7 min/mile. Getting to a HR of 150 with a 7 min/mile pace would be terrific for me. Sometime in 2013? End of 2013?
BTW, the running blogger above with the deteriorating condition, then writing in 2008, goes on the get diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2011.
