I got a wetsuit. I also got a joist mounted pull up bar, but I've run into problems installing it in the basement since I don't have a 7/16 drill bit, 3/8 is the largest I have. This may take anouther day or two (there is also a bolt-nut fit issue I've not figured out yet, I may just get different nuts rather than use the nuts the pull up bar came with...).
I'll never again wonder why people are slow to get in or out of wetsuits. I actually have the M size which is for 164-177 lbs weight, but the size seemed fine to me. I doubt my ablility to get into a smaller suit. Maybe once I get more experience I could try a closer fitting suit.
Update #1: Ah, I think I've figured it out: use a slightly smaller diameter bolt. This should still attach the pull up bar and would allow me to use my current drill. Or somebody lends me a 7/16 drill bit and drill...
Update #2: got the 7/16 drill bit and made one hole with the right size. Now I just need to make three more holes in the right locations...
My wife seems to hate the wetsuit already, not clear why. She doesn't want it in the house and wants it stored outside, which will destroy it due to UV radiation destroying the material. I think she thinks it will smell. I don't get it.
