My resting HR was around 50-53 bpm this morning, with excursions down to 45 bpm. So better than the ~55 bpm yesterday and the day before, but still not my usual low 40s. Today's a rest day for running.
I did run 36 miles (58 km) last week:
Sunday 10.3
Monday 6.31
Wednesday 6.38
Thursday 6.7
Friday 6.42.
Not that 36 miles is a lot -- a lot is always 50% more than you're running yourself. So a lot for me would be 50 miles/week. I expect to be a tad under 40 miles/week for the rest of the summer, if I don't get injured, as there were not tempo runs this week and I'm still adding distance to my long run (I'm thinking of going up to 18 miles for the long run...)
I suspect my wife may be running more, around 40 mile/week, since she runs a bit under 6 miles every day with no rest days. Or maybe also 35 miles/week, since she does have occassional unplanned rest days.
Update #1: I've had a bit of a sore throat today, so I still may be a bit sick (or are these allergies?). That would explain my elevated resting HR.
