I put myself on the scale this evening and I'm a tad above 154 lbs...so at least 152 lbs tomorrow morning. The result of long weekends in the land of good take-out pizza and very good blueberry pie, as well as social eating and no accurate scale. Well, I know how to deal with this. Sadly, not due to the result of strength training.
I need to start lifting heavy free weights.
I need to pick up speed training.
Some plyometrics also seem called for.
Otherwise, I'm waiting for training effects to kick in. My runs currently are getting slower, due to fatigue, even after a rest week with only 12 miles of running.
Update #1 (July 3, 7:20 am): 152.2 lbs this morning. And no running due to thunderstorms. It will also thunderstorm this evening according to the forecast. So I may need to run Saturday, if I can fit it in.
