The earthquake was exciting and pretty big. A good experience. A bit scary since the first wave was smaller than the second wave, so I was surprised by the second wave's strength. Real shaking. No damage I've noticed, but the media had photos of (badly constructed) brick wall facades taking out parked cars very close by.
Hurricanes, so far in my experience, never live up to the media hype. I hope this one is similar. I fly up to Boston Friday evening and had to move my return flight from Monday to Tuesday. I'll see how much work I can get done remotely.
I did check: the house up in Massachusetts, though by the ocean, is not in an official flood plain. Sort of obvious if you think about the elevation.
