Nighttime Photography

I was out taking photos yesterday evening, but I was called in by my mother-in-law who was concerned I'd set off the neighborhood dogs.  I've now pre-cleared myself with the relevant neighbors and will head out again this evening.  It seems like this is making too much fuss of it, but I need I need to keep everybody here happy. At least I'm less likely to have the police called on me (not that that would cause any problems). 

Update #1: But I ran into technical problems...battery died, underexposure, dust in the 17-55mm lens?  Nothing good.
