We'll it was up there for me, 12 miles in 2+ hours. I can make it home in 20 min. with no traffic and 30 min. with the usual rush-hour traffic. All because of some rain and people reacting to the resulting backup by gridlocking intersections.
Some real flooding related problems elsewhere. Two dead, including a 12 year old boy about 200 yards from where I drove by on my way home, not related to any of my delays. Deaths due to swollen creek water action, not traffic.
Update #1: the death may not have been close to my commute, hard to tell from the reporting, geographical designations are confusing and there are more than one fire and rescue response out there.
Update #2: supposedly 7 inches of rain in the last 3 hours in some spots, it has been raining for over a day.
Update #3: Fairfax County has canceled school for tomorrow.
